Location : Raja Bazar Road, Connaught Place

Patron : Lala Raghu Mal

People : Lala Hans Raj Gupta

RM Arya Girls School is located at the cross section of Raja Bazar Road and Arya School Lane. It was named after Lala Raghu Mal who was a proprietor of Dehradun Mussoorie Electric Tramway Co. Ltd. and a businessman between Calcutta, Dehradun, Mussoorie and Delhi. Raghu Gunj in Chawri Bazar is also named after him.

This school is a typical example of a corner plot Art Deco style building. The stylistic details that can be observed are, a tripartite facade and its rising central entrance core and, the flat roof. The stepped profile of the tower recesses in the tower’s elevation with horizontal bandings and the curved edges of the school’s main block. Overall, one can also note influences of Indian ornamental motifs in the school’s elevation and along porthole windows.
