Similar to the language set by St Stephens, Ramjas College’s Tower reflects a particular affinity to Art Deco style with stepping in the tower’s profile, a vertical slit with louvred details, a porthole window currently bearing the college’s logo and a floating flat roof sitting on top of brackets. Ramjas Foundation was established by Rai Kedar Nath, a philanthropist committed to providing education to the society. He established many schools along with the college. Lala Jagan Nath, son of Lala Ram Roop, was also a founding member of the Foundation and his family till date serves as a member.

Recessed Tower
Recess in the surface of the facade to create a stepping pattern in the mass, like setbacks. Ornamentation like bandings, flutes, reeds and motifs would often highlight the profile, in addition to the recesses
Porthole Windows
Circular windows evoked from nautical themes, signifying buildings as ocean liners. These windows sometimes further possess a motif to form a ventilator.
Square Flat Roofs
A squarish flat roof projection over the highest part of the building, e.g. mumpties or the central tower. They add emphasis to the towering part and an ornamental visual feature
