Location : Karol Bagh

Architect : Mohinder Singh

This building is yet another example of an Art Deco style residence on PUSA Road, and one of the last few remaining examples to have retained its original form, staircases and ornamental details on its exterior facade. Possibly built in the 1940s, it easily catches your attention with its rising staircase tower that slowly reveals itself as you walk from Karol Bagh to Rajendra Place metro station. The towers have delicate and intricate jaali which is an exclusive feature to the residence. Being around at a junction, the residence can be seen from three sides, with curved balconies and eyebrows to them. The staircase runs in a helical well with terrazzo flooring, handrail and stucco. It currently houses the office of the Gautam Gambhir Foundation, being their previous residence. The house is said to be designed by Mohinder Singh, architect and designer of his residence, 1 PUSA road.
